ISO Legal Watch
"There are an increasing number of instances reported where MS is alleged of putting improper pressure on ISO National Bodies to vote in favour of OOXML as an ISO standard. It is reported that they may be crossing the accepted boundaries of commercial practice, for instance by chairing national voting working parties and/or presenting at the meeting at which the vote is taken, thereby failing to observe any form of regulation about conflict of interest. Additionally there are other examples of alleged malpractice within national committees, such as locking out key players from crucial meetings , or where national committees have suddenly increased in size and participation, or where voting may not have been transparent. It has be argued that such practices are anti-competitive and should be reported to the Competition Authorities at European and National levels.
Please urgently report, in as much as detail as possible, such alleged examples , so they can be investigated and consolidated."
